Gender Sensitivity Seminar among Student of the College of Criminal Justice
The College of Criminal Justice together with the Gender and Development Focal Point System of the university conducted a Gender Sensitivity Seminar among 4th year Students on April 11, 2016 at the CCJ Function Hall. The seminar was attended by 18 female and 14 male 4th year students and faculty members and staff of the college.
Ms. Janice N. Cruzpe, Staff, GAD-FPS discussed the Orientation on Sex and Gender Roles, Agents of Gender Socialization and Gender Issues. Activity on typical roles, characteristics, expectations, attitude, behavior and values of men and women was also facilitated by Ms. Cruzpe.
The lecture on Anti Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 (RA No. 7877) was provided by Ms. Shirlyn M. Rom, Staff, GAD-FPS. To deepen the understanding on the topic a video clip entitled “Sexual Harassment in the Workplace” was also presented. She told the participants about the latest news in Quezon City which imposed fine and penalties to the offenders of sexual harassment.
